ILYA Pharma wins SweLife Accelerator grant
Ilya Pharma wins a large grant in tough competition. The grant covers critical activities the coming six months in the drug development program of ILYAs lead drug candidate that is entering clinical trials in wound healing.
-The other companies and projects that received funding have been around for some years and some are even publicly traded companies. With that in mind I am extremely proud of what we have accomplished so far in Ilya Pharma and the very positive feedback we got from the examiners still makes me blush, says CEO Evelina Vågesjö. We have build a very strong team the last year and that is now paying off, both in the project and also when we win grants like this, she continues.
Swelife is a strategic innovation programme, funded by the Swedish Government via the Swedish innovation agency, Vinnova, and by the programme’s collaborative partners in healthcare, academia and industry. Swelife’s goal is to strengthen Swedish Life Science and improve public health.
In total eight projects were awarded the SweLife Accelerator grant.
